WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK IS ALMOST HERE!

Updated: Feb 24

Chicago Metro #325!

The time has come to plan your WIC Week! The WIC Week committee is thrilled to open registration for our celebration of Women in Construction. The celebration begins TODAY!

We will be hosting a “Wellness Virtual Lunch Event” each day of the week for members only. These 30 minute classes will be held at noon each day. They are free to attend, however, you must be registered to participate. We have set up each event individually. Although a little more work for all of us, it will allow us to provide our presenters with the most accurate participation information and you to sign up for only those events you will attend. We appreciate your understanding on this and look forward to a great week!

  • TUESDAY: Managing Seasons of Stress with Heidi Beucher, acupuncturist. In this presentation, we will explore different ways to help our bodies shed stress as well as how the seasons can impact our health. Acupressure points, foods, and activities to alleviate your stress will be covered. Please bring questions! http://www.kwaifah.com/ Click here to register.

  • WEDNESDAY: (45 minutes): Stand Strong Self Defense Demo Course. Click here to register.

  • THURSDAY: With the pandemic still looming, so many things are up in the air and it is overwhelming to manage and plan. Join us as life coach and founder of Blush, Elise Dean, presents tips and advice in her session: Surviving Uncertainty https://joinblush.com/ Click here to register.

  • FRIDAY: Slough off Stress with Heather Fraelick, Body work and Massage. A myofascial release and energy healing class that helps release tension from the physical and energetic bodies. https://www.heatherfraelick.com/ Click here to register.

Be on the lookout for invitations to register for our two networking events. These evening Zoom classes will be open to members and nonmembers. They will start at 6 pm and last approximately two hours. Feel free to invite any supporter of women in construction and to watch the classes with your roommates!

  • TUESDAY: Sick of take-out and looking for fresh options to cook at home? Join us for a class on how to make your own healthy, hearty salads, bowls and homemade dressings! Chef Gina Bangser who will teach us how to make a Greek bowl with a salad. She will cover rubs, marinades and homemade dressings. Grocery list will come out the week prior. This cooking class is sponsored by Walsh Construction. $10/members and $20/non-members. *SEE OUR EVENTS PAGE FOR MORE INFO & TO REGISTER*

  • THURSDAY: Get ready to expand your cocktail making game! We will learn how to make two different cocktails with local distiller Chicago Distilling. You have the option to purchase mixers which can be shipped, or mixers and alcohol which can be picked up at the distillery or at this event sponsor’s office: Ryan Companies Westmont location. If these options don’t work for you, you can purchase and use your own products. $10/members and $20/non-members. *SEE OUR EVENTS PAGE FOR MORE INFO & TO REGISTER*
